Admissions and Fees

PARENT HANDBOOK

Before you complete the registration form, we recommend that you read through our Parent Handbook so that you are familiar with all the policies and requirements for the preschool.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding our policies and requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

Our basic requirements for children to be admitted at the preschool are:

  • Children must be at least 2 years and 10 months old (our environment is not suitable for younger children)
  • Children must be completely toilet-trained (no more nappies/diapers and able to ask when they need to go to the toilet)
  • We do not admit new children who are older than 4 years old unless they have attended a Montessori school beforehand (they have missed too much of the Montessori programme by then)
  • Children may remain at the preschool until July of the year that they turn 6 years old.

APPLICATION FEE

The application fee is required if you would like to put your child on our waiting list. The fee is due once you have completed our online registration form. It is non-refundable.

Application Fee: DKK 500

We will inform you at a later date if the child has a confirmed place at the preschool.

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee is due once we have confirmed a place for your child at our preschool. It covers all administrative costs in order to welcome your child to the preschool. This fee is non-refundable.

Registration Fee: DKK 3.000

Payment of the registration fee confirms the final registration of your child.

MONTHLY TUITION FEE

For children with a CPR number, the monthly tuition fee is:

DKK 5.750 for all children from 2 years 10 months to 6 years old.

For children without a CPR number, the monthly tuition fee is:

DKK 10.500 for all children from 2 years 10 months to 6 years old.

The tuition fee is due on the first working day of the month. Payment should be done by bank transfer.

There is a DKK 500 late payment fee if it is not done on the first working day of the month.

MUNICIPALITY SUBSIDIES

Both our Frederiksberg and Valby preschools are approved as Private Institutions. The monthly tuition fee is paid by the parents and the preschool directly receives subsidies from the kommune.

So far, the municipalities that pay subsidies for children attending our preschools are:

  • Copenhagen
  • Frederiksberg
  • Hvidovre
  • Brøndby
  • Tårnby
  • Ballerup
  • Gentofte
  • Rødovre
  • Herlev
  • Ishøj
  • Vallensbæk

If you live outside of these municipalities, you must first contact your local municipality to ask them if they will cover the subsidies. Every municipality in Greater Copenhagen has different regulations regarding subsidies so let them know that you would like your child to attend our preschool.

LEAVING THE PRESCHOOL

Please give two months’ notice before your child leaves the preschool. This is to give us time to prepare for a nice goodbye for your child and for the welcome of the new child who will be joining us.

TAKING TIME OFF / HOLIDAY

If a child takes some time off from the preschool or goes away on holiday, the full fee is still due otherwise the child loses his/her place at the preschool.

Please make sure that you inform us when your child will be absent so that we can organise ourselves accordingly.
